Our foster parents are provided with TN KEY (knowledge empowers you) training to equip them with the knowledge and skills needed to provide for a child who has experienced trauma.
Oak Plains Academy’s foster care program provides 24/7 access to case managers to provide on-going support to our family’s. Our case managers are therapeutically trained to assess situations that may arise so that our foster parents have a knowledgeable support system through Oak Plains Academy.
Through our therapeutic foster care department, services needed by a child or family are provided and coordinated by our foster parents and case managers in partnership with the Department of Children’s Services.
We strive to provide a secure, stable environment for children in custody until they can reach permanency through reunification, adoption, post custody or other kinship options.
