Visitation is scheduled every Saturday and Sunday from 9:00am to 11:30am and 1:30pm-3:30pm.

Due to the nature of the treatment that we provide all our residents with at Oak Plains Academy; safety is our top priority. In keeping with this priority, all visitation rules will be strictly enforced.

When visiting the facility, please arrive at your scheduled time, follow all visitation rules, and the Oak Plains Academy dress code.

Outgoing phone calls can be made by residents 3 days a week

The admissions process typically takes about one to two hours dependent on how long the psychological evaluation takes, but our staff will work with you to make the process as easy as possible.

Our program is designed to be 3 to 4 months. The average stay is 4-6 months. However, we create individualized treatment plans to meet the needs of each resident.

Oak Plains Academy does not have a religious affiliation, but residents are provided opportunities to explore their beliefs. There is a bible study every other week.

Yes, residents can complete home and day passes as they progress in their treatment

All residents receive recreation time daily. If the weather is nice, residents go outside for recreation twice a day. During poor weather, the residents have access to indoor recreation areas.
